Twenty six students from Mercy College attended the Launch of the Project Ireland 2040 plan at Sligo Institute of Technology on Friday last. They were front seat guests in the Knocknarea Arena and Grace Filan and Erin Battell questioned the Ministers from the floor re plans for education and rural Ireland. Grace was also interviewed by George Lee on Six-One News regarding her opinion on the contents of the plan.It as certainly a historic occasion for the students involved as they will be mature adults when the plan is fully implemented and therefore it was of special interest to the students from 1st Year to Leaving Cert. who attended the meeting and met many of the Government ministers afterwards.
