An Enrolment /Open Evening will take place in Mercy College Sligo on Thursday 22nd November from 6.30 to 9.30 pm. The Principal Ms O Hagan will  deliver the Principal's address at 7pm.Prospective students must be accompanied  by parents or a guardian. Mercy College takes part in Euroscola at European Parliament Strasbourg

Ten Mercy College students were awarded a place at the Euroscola at the European Parliament in Strasbourg on 26th October 2018. The students flew to Stuttgart accompanied by Ms O Hagan and Ms Harte and travelled up to Strasbourg by train. They took part in committee discussions  on topics as as varied as Human Rights, Immigration and Integration, Culture and Heritage, The Future of Europe, Climate Change etc

Europe Direct Soapbox Competition

Good luck to all our participants in the Europe Direct Soapbox competition at 6.30 pm  on Thursday 18th October in Sligo Library. The theme is "Every Vote Counts" and we look forward to an exciting discussion .

PLC organise Futsol

All Ireland French Translation Competition Winner.

Congratulations to Fiona Zauner who won the Irish Association of Translators National Competition. Fiona entered the competition while in 5th year and the awards were announced and presented in September. Well done also to Ms Keane's French class who participated in the competition.The exercise involved translating from English to French within a given timeframe.

Mercy Day

Mercy College students celebrated Mercy Day by a mass for the opening of the Academic Year in St Anne';s church celebrated  by Fr Lombard. The choir sang   under the direction of Ms McIntyre and accompanied by Leonard Dorrian. Irish traditional musicians played and students did the readings and prayers of the faithful.Gifts representing the school life were presented at the Offertory.

2nd Year Student in TG 4 Eurovision song contest

 Congratulations to  2nd Year student Kerry Ann  Mc Creery, who  along with 31 other finalists , has made it through to the live Eurovision show in TG4 in which one lucky child will represent Ireland in Belarus in November.
