The John Paul 2 Gold Awards were awarded to Chloe Byrne,Danielle Callaghan, Grace Filan,Leah Fox,Emily Gaine,Leah Kelly,Bridie Lyons,,Leanne McGoldrick,Hannah Scanlon and Mary Stenson.
The Papal Cross Awards were received by Rachel Hession,Chelsey Branley and Grace Mc Donnell.

Mercy College School Choir sang at the John Paul 2 Awards in Summerhill College.They were joined by the Summerhill Boys Choir at the ceremony in the John Rutter hymn "Look at the World"

On Friday the 11th of November a group of 16 TY students attended the opening of science week in Sligo Library. Dr Yvonne Lang addressed the gathering, informing the students about the events taking place for Science week. Dr. Lang enthused the students with her obvious love of science.

Congratulations to the Cadette team who defeated St Claire's Manorhamilton in the North West Schools League on Tuesday last. The final score was 47- 17.  The under 16 team will play Roscommon in the  Basketball Cup  competition on Friday 18th November.

Rotary Club Student Leadership Award

Congratulation to Emily Gaine, who won the Sligo Regional final of the Rotary Club Leadership Competition.Emily was selected from a total of twelve candidates. Emily will be presented with her award at a special Rotary Club lunch this week. The next round of the competition will be held in Sligo next week and the winners will travel to the European Parliament.
